A Creative Journey, Still Becoming

Yetunde Inherited grew from a creative journey long before it became a place to shop.

I've always created in different ways through photography, videography, content creation, vlogs, music, storytelling and, eventually, products of my own.

Selling came later.

What began as a desire to create became a desire to build, and Yetunde Inherited became a place where those different parts of my creativity could come together.

I don't believe creativity has to fit neatly into one category. Some ideas become photographs. Some become videos. Some become music. Some become clothing, textiles or products.

And some are simply ideas waiting for their time.

Yetunde Inherited gives me the freedom to explore them.

Why "Inherited"?

The name reflects something I believe deeply: not everything we inherit is something we can hold.

We inherit creativity.

We inherit values.

We inherit character.

We inherit lessons from the people and experiences that shape us.

And eventually, we have the opportunity to pass something on ourselves.

What I receive, I can build upon.
What I create, I can pass on.

That idea of passing something on is also at the heart of how I think about giving.

Long before Yetunde Inherited became a brand, giving was already something I did naturally.

Sometimes I would notice someone who had been wearing the same garment for a long time. The colour had changed, the garment had clearly been worn repeatedly, and I could tell they might appreciate something new.

Other times, someone simply stood out to me as a person I felt deserved a thoughtful gift.

So I would quietly buy fabric for them and when possible, have a new garment made.

I didn't need a brand to give. It was simply something I could do.

As Yetunde Inherited grows, I want that part of my life to grow with it.

I set aside part of my fabric sales to continue giving fabric or garments to people who need them or someone I feel deserves a thoughtful gift.

No complicated formula.

No expectation.

Just giving when I can.

My Mission
Create with purpose. Give with intention.

I want Yetunde Inherited to remain a space where creativity can take different forms.

A place where I can create, explore, build and share without being limited to one category.

And as the brand grows, I want its ability to give to grow with it.

The products may change.

The creative work may evolve.

New ideas will come.

But the intention remains:

Create with purpose. Give with intention.

Still Becoming

I don't know exactly what Yetunde Inherited will become.

And honestly, I don't think I need to.

I've never been someone who could be defined by one creative outlet, so I don't want the brand to be either.

There is room here for the things I create today, the things I will create tomorrow, and the ideas I haven't discovered yet.

Yetunde Inherited is a reflection of what I create, what I value, and what I choose to pass on.
